Program-Specific Outcomes


PO1 – Critical thinking and logical reasoning: take informed actions after identifying

the assumptions that frame our thinking and actions, checking out the degree to which

these assumptions are accurate and valid and looking at our ideas and decisions

(intellectual, organizational, and personal) from different perspectives.

PO2 – Effective communication skills: speak, read, write and listen clearly in person

and through electronic media in English and one Indian language, and make meaning

of the world by connecting people, ideas, books, media, and technology.

PO3 – Social interaction and sensitivity towards societal issues: elicit views of

others, mediate disagreements and help reach conclusions in group settings.

PO4 – Effective citizenship: demonstrate empathetic social concern and equity centered

national development, and the ability to act with an informed awareness of issues and

participate in civic life through volunteering.

PO5 – Ethics: recognize different value systems including your own,

PSO1: selection of effective communication skills in a variety of organizational settings.

PSO2: developing comprehensive strategic and tactical plans for an organization.

PSO4: applying problem-solving and decision-making frameworks that propose defensible solutions to organizational opportunities challenges change and risk.

PSO5: evaluating the dynamics of the global business environment from a competitive and economic perspective.

 PSO6: creating a business plan including business feasibility assessment and financial analysis projections for an innovative new business product or service. 

B.Com (Honours) program aims to provide its graduates to:

PSO1 – apply knowledge and skills in accounting function to respond to the global outlook on opportunities and challenges in the accounting and financial service sector. 

 PSO2 – develop an understanding of various commerce functions such as economics, finance, accounting, management, financial analysis, project evaluation, and cost accounting, demonstrate knowledge and skills. 

 PSO3 – develop self-confidence and awareness of general issues prevailing in society. 

 PSO4 – work collaboratively and productively in groups. 

 PSO5 – uses basic mathematical and statistical tools of analysis.


PSO1 – students can go for higher degree programs in the related areas which include MCA, MBA, ACS, MIB, CA, CS, ICMA, advance diploma in various programming

languages, etc. As this program provides specialization in both commerce as well as


PSO2 – they may work as programmers, web developers, and e-commerce specialists

with industries that are engaged in computer-based systems such as telecommunication,

automotive, aerospace, etc.

PSO3 – students can also have jobs in computer hardware system design and

development companies, computer networking companies, software development

companies etc.

B.Com (taxation) program aims to provide its graduates to:

PSO1 – students will be able to demonstrate progressive learning of various tax issues and tax forms related to individuals.

PSO2 – students will learn relevant financial accounting career skills, applying both quantitative and qualitative knowledge to their future careers in business.

PSO3 – students will gain thorough systematic and subject skills within various disciplines of commerce, business, accounting, economics, finance, auditing and marketing.

PSO4 – learners will be able to prove proficiency with the ability to engage in competitive exams like ca, cs, icwa and other courses.

PSO5- learners can also acquire practical skills to work as tax consultant, audit assistant and other financial supporting services.

B.Com (economics) program aims to provide its graduates to:

PSO1 – students will be able to use the knowledge gained to understand everyday macro and micro economic events.

PSO2 – clarity of methods and procedures used in commerce in the everyday area of activities

PSO3 – students will have a clear understanding of key economic issues like inflation, unemployment, production, output, etc. And to make valuable contributions as learned responsible citizens. 

PSO4 – abilities to understand critically, macro-economic developments of the nation through, national income indicators. 

PSO5 – enhance the employability chances of the students through development of conceptual and practical skills.
