Truba Institute of Pharmacy was established in 2004-2005 and has become the leading Institute of Pharmacy in Madhya Pradesh. The Institute is approved by PCI, AICTE, DTE and affiliated to RGPV, Bhopal. Apart from B.Pharm degree course, the institute also offers PG courses in Pharmacology since 2008 and Pharmaceutics since 2010 . and it monopolize Quality Assurance since 2012. Laboratories are equipped with the most sophisticated, validated, costly and well-maintained instruments .

Bachelor of Pharmacy
In our day to day life pharmacists play an imperative role as they are especially involved in research and manufacture of medicines. As a pharmacist, one has to twig the concerto and effect of medicines. Thus, pharmacy is closely associated with the scientific study. This course of pharmacy aims to develop an understanding of how the body works, the effects of disease, how medicines are made delivered to affect the body and importantly how to ensure that patients get the maximum benefit from medicines with the minimum incidence of side effects. B.Pharma degree is a good launching pad for higher studies. It provides the basic qualification for Masters degree in different specializations of Pharmacy.A pharmacist is involved in manufacturing, distributing, retailing and dispensing of drugs to the required consumers thus creating a vast scope of employment opportunities in hospitals and medical directorates that involve inspecting and analysis of drugs in the manufacturing units. Pharmacists dispense prescription drugs to patients. They provide information about those drugs and help patients understand the instructions their doctors or other health practitioners provided. They monitor their patients health and progress to make sure their medications are working effectively and safely. A wide array of opportunities is also present in the education and research industry. As the use of prescription drugs increases demand for pharmacists will grow in every existing community and with this change in scenario self-employment is another major scope for a pharmacist.
The department of Pharmacology is concerned with the aspects of education and research activities involving effects of drugs on living organisms in respect to chemical nature, origin (natural or synthetic), which affects a biological system. Pharmacology may involve how organisms handle drugs, mechanism of drug action, drug toxicity, the use of drugs as probes to demarcate biological processes in health and disease, identification of new targets for drug action, and the design and development of new drugs. These investigations can occur at the molecular, subcellular, cellular, tissue or whole organism level. Pharmacology is an interdisciplinary discipline employing investigational approaches that may include biochemistry, physiology, immunology, molecular biology, genetics and cell biology. Department of Pharmacology addresses these issues from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Department laboratories are equipped with amenities for the research in areas like endocrinology, neuropharmacology, cardiovascular, psychopharmacology, cardiovascular etc. Besides this research in the area of Pharmacokinetics and Biochemical Pharmacology are also carried out. The institution is having approved air-conditioned modern animal house by the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) with separate forgery, wash area, store for animal food, cages for rats, mice, rabbits and guinea pigs, racks for cages and trolleys etc.

Pharmaceutics is one of core subjects in drug development. Pharmaceutics along with Pharmacology contribute maximum in turning a new chemical entity (NCE) into a medication to be used safely and effectively by patients. The focus areas are preformulation, formulation development, pharmacokinetics, bioavailability and bioequivalence, conventional and novel drug delivery systems, etc.The scope of Master in Pharmaceutics: Formulation unit; Production unit; Advanced materials and delivery system; Patents & IPR section; Cosmetics manufacturing; QC & QA Testing area; Private Entrepreneurship; Packaging section; Drug regulatory affairs and Academics.Students are motivated and advised to find interest in the respective area of research from start of the semester. During the course of time students are suggested to give presentations on area identified and work plan. One year is fully dedicated to research work and possible outcome will be patent, publications, thesis or dissertation etc.The Department of Pharmaceutics is responsible for providing knowledge regarding the formulation development and regulatory aspects of the pharmaceutical industry.

Truba Institute of Pharmacy offers a 4 year degree academic course, 2 years post graduate courses in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology and 2 years Diploma course in Pharmacy. The College is provided with the latest infrastructure and equipment’s and we have put in place highly qualified dedicated teachers so that the best can be offered to our students. Along with the academic pursuits, the Institute, within the umbrella carries out various extra curricular and cultural activities aimed at total personality development of the students. Our aim is to help our students to develop an intelligent mind with analytical ability so that they always remain in the forefront in whatever pursuit they undertake. A rich medicinal garden with important medicinal plants has been developed in the college campus covering a vast area of land. The garden is maintained under the direction of a specially deputed Horticulturist having deep knowledge of medicinal plants for on-site training of students. Some important medicinal plants to name are Kalmegh, Gudmar, Bring raj, Chirata, Shivlingi, Haldi, Chitrak, Brahmi, Black Musli, Stevia, Vasaka, Aloe vera, Guggul, Ashwagandha, Vajradanti, Mulethi, Punarnava etc. out of variety of different plants which have been planted and developed here.
The institution aspires to facilitate utility and distribution of acquaintance, information, handy & intellect in all precise field of pharmacy. The Library plays an essential function in the gathering knowledge, progress, and propagation of scientific and technical information. Institute library has more than 10000 quality books on pharmaceutical sciences. The Library is digitized with 24 X 7 internet facility, online library (Delnet) facility. More than 30 leading Journal including 07 international Journals and 22 national Journals have been subscribed. The college also has subscriptions of different online journals. We offers book bank facility to each student.
TRUBA Institute of Pharmacy,Bhopal has organized 07th Educational Tour for the final & Pre-Final year Pharmacy Students. Bhopal-Ambala-Chandigarh-Kulu-Manali-Amritsar from 02/01/2019 to 09/01/2019. The idea of Tour is to plan travel destinations for students with a view to familiarize them with the immense diversity we enjoy & Exposure of Pharmaceutical Industry.
